How It All Began

Hello, I'm Emma, the mummy behind Mummy Macaron. I've always had a passion for baking but when I made macarons for the first time it was love at first bake! If you've ever made macarons before, you'll know how moody they can be! With my stubborn nature I set myself a mission to master them. I watched hours on end of macaron tutorials, tested countless recipes, read macaron schooling books, did more than necessary market research (any excuse for taste testing!) and about 50 batches later I had finally mastered what I would consider the perfect macaron. During this process I was on maternity leave from my nurse role for the NHS with my daughter. Every-time I would bake a batch of macarons my just turned two year old son would come bursting into the room with excitement shouting and pointing 'Mummy macaron, Mummy macaron!', and the name was born!

Making macarons gave me so much purpose, joy & a sense of calm, I was determined to pursue a business that meant I could share these delights. Every macaron is handmade with love and care. I hope you get as much enjoyment from my macarons as I have had learning about them and making them for you.
